10 Incredibly Moving Scenes In Video Games Ruined By Player Input

9. Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault On Dragon Keep - Feed Butt Stallion

I appreciate this is simply a fictitious world that your character is in, but Roland WAS real and he DID die and Tiny Tina's denial of it was building to this. Tiny Tina's storytelling abilities are so damn awesome (mostly due to her being an excellently voiced and well-developed character), that watching her break-down and nearly cry because she must accept Roland's death is heart-wrenching (unless you're a sociopath). We all knew he was dead but we still wanted to see what would happen next, the big ending to seeing our favourite soldier survive was shaping up to be brilliant. That is until the Butt Stallion punchline. You have to spend the last playable segment of the game picking up Eridium to feed Butt Stallion, talk about an investment-breaker. I understand that these games pride themselves on their humour and I also understand that Butt Stallion is a clever reference to the villain in the main game, Handsome Jack. However making this be the last thing you get to do with your character after such a grind may have been a misfire. Some of you may have liked it, that's fair enough, but it just seems so cheap to me.
