1. Skolas - Destiny

You should thank your lucky stars if you never went toe-to-very large toe with Skolas when he debuted in Destiny's House of Wolves expansion. As difficult as this monstrosity is now, he was virtually unbeatable upon launch.

Throughout this DLC, you have to face the self-proclaimed Kell of Kells on several occasions. As hard as these battles are, they pale compared to the final showdown. No matter how well-equipped you are, it's never enough. Thousands of squads failed miserably at taking Skolas down, thanks to the fallen captain's ludicrous health and unfair modifications.

The Skolas battle received so much flack, the developers were forced to tone down nearly every aspect of his battle strategy. His Arc, Void, and Solar Burn modifiers were removed entirely, his minions spawn at more predictable intervals, and his health bar was sliced in half.

But even at half-strength, Skolas is still unbearable to fight, due to his ground smashing attacks, his scorch cannon, and his incessant teleporting. Because of his Devouring Essence debuff, he can wipe out your squad within seconds if you're not positioned accordingly.

So, if you thought Skolas was the worst kind of cheater, just remember there was a time where he actually cheated more!
