10 Infuriating Video Game Bosses That CHEAT To Win

6. Silver The Hedgehog - Sonic The Hedgehog

Unlike most cheap bosses, Silver from Sonic '06 doesn't cheat by relying on input reading or untelegraphed attacks. This spiny critter is an absolute pain to fight because... he's terribly programmed.

If this boss battle was designed by a competent development team, Silver would be pretty easy. Basically, the superpowered hedgehog uses psychokinesis to immobilise Sonic, hurl him around the arena, or throw crates at him. Even though Silver's telekinesis is irritating, he'll be out for the count after a few well-timed bonks to the head.

But if Silver tosses Sonic into a wall, our titular hero can get stuck. This action will cause Sonic to lose a ring, which he'll automatically pick up, trapping our speedy protagonist into an endless loop. Because you can't die while you're stuck in the wall, you have no choice but to restart the battle.

Due to other glitches, Silver is also able to unintentionally knock the player out of the arena or hurl them into the sky until they reach space!

Despite the fact these glitches were never intended by the creators, they've earned Silver a reputation as one of the cheapest bosses in gaming.
