10 Infuriating Video Game Moments That Made You Rage Quit
6. Lagging In Any Competitive Online Game
No one really has sympathy for a lagger. When you hear someone moaning about it during an online shooter or a game of the aforementioned Rocket League, you instinctively dismiss them as sore losers who shouldn't play online if they - or their internet bandwidth - can't handle the pressure. But then it happens to you, and all your disdain for the lag-moaner goes out the window as you suddenly start getting your ass handed to you in whatever you're playing. One moment, you're top of the scoreboards and odds-on to get the MVP award, but it's only when you try emptying a whole clip into an enemy and they don't react that you realise something's wrong. Suddenly, you're dead, you respawn to find that everyone's shooting at invisible enemies and dying for no reason, then you're dead again, and again, and again, all the while dropping down the scoreboard - that precious K/D ratio getting ruined before your eyes. You're now a lag victim, and you want the whole world to know about it. "LAAAAAAG", you shout desperately. It doesn't go down well, as you get barraged by all the insults you once reserved for people in the same situation you're in now. Furious, isolated and ostracised, you quit the game in shame and anger.
