10 Infuriating Video Game Moments That Made You Rage Quit

5. Football Manager - Conceding Goals While Waiting To Make Changes

While it's occasionally novel to watch a Football Manager match at a slower pace, the addictive nature of the game means that you'll be getting through most matches at breakneck speed. This means that crucial in-match events can go by in a flash, and you'll barely have the time to react to them, causing you to smash your keyboard in a blast of indignant rage. Consider, for example, that you're winning 2-1, but then the opponent equalises to make it 2-2. With not long to go in the match, you want to make some attack-minded tweaks to your team to snatch the late winner, but before the game has reacted to your instructions, the other team has snuck in an extra goal that makes the score 3-2. How the hell was I supposed to do anything about that?!?, you'll scream internally, or maybe externally as the match slips through your fingers. Deciding that the game cheated you somehow, you quickly Ctrl-Alt-Delete your PC and switch it off. Conveniently, you saved just before the match, so you can come back to it later after you've cooled down a bit. Sure, that kind of makes you a cheat, but you're just making up for the fact that the game blatantly screwed you over, right?
