10 Insane Wrestling Game Spin-Offs

6. WWF Betrayal (Game Boy Colour)

018 Hulk Hogans Main Event
WWE

There is a really good reason WWF Betrayal is panned to death, it's crap. Actually it's worse than crap, it's the sort of present your mum buys you for your Christmas when you're 12, then after 5 minutes you throw it in her face and strop for how bad it really is.

A generic side-scrolling game with you going from various themed levels to “rescue” Stephanie McMahon. Trying to recreate TMNT or X-Men in the arcades but with a WWF Superstar such as Undertaker, Stone Cold, The Rock or Triple H was really laughable. Yes you could grab some objects to knock people down like a lead pipe Streets of Rages style, but the hit detection is truly awful, the noises are terrible, the speed it ran is terrible, the terribleness of the terrible game deserves no more attention now than it did back in 2001. Not to mention this is on the Gameboy Color, where there has never been a good wrestling game.

The storyline to this short game is also confusing and has plot holes that would make WCW cry. Also all the characters that you defeat disappear, which means your character must have super powers, or has atomised them, either way you've likely have caused genocidal homicide and deserve some jail time if you've completed the game.
