10 Insane Xbox One Problems Microsoft Should Have Solved By Now

6. Separate Apps For Important Features

On the Xbox 360, it was easy to access things like achievements, friends list, recent players and message just by pressing the Xbox button and accessing the guide. Unfortunately, it's not quite as intuitive on the Xbox One. Instead of being all integrated together, many of these features are contained within their own apps. This makes it a much longer process when wanting to quickly do something like check who's online among your friends, or view achievements for the game you're currently playing. This method of uncoupling the software in this manner is now common in the industry, in order to deliver updates more quickly and speed up individual app launch times. For functions as tiny as the friends list and message, it seems crazy that they've made it less integrated than the Xbox 360 dashboard though.
