Release date: 2015 British developers Hello Games managed to take VGX by storm last year, after releasing a trailer for what looks to be the most ambitious game ever undertaken by a studio. A science fiction adventure game that blends multiple genres, No Man's Sky is set in a vast, procedurally-generated universe. The incredible trailer showed off a colourful, open world, filled with exotic dinosaur-like creatures. Things got truly mind-blowing though, when the player stepped into a spacecraft, flew up, and launched itself into space itself. No loading screens to be seen, and the whole action of going from the world's surface to outer space seems remarkably fluid.
