Release date: 2015 Final Fantasy XV hasn't yet been given an official release date by Square Enix, but most rumours point strongly to a mid-2015 launch. It's had an incredibly long and arduous journey in development to get there, but this fifteenth entry looks to be the Final Fantasy game that will get fans excited about the series again. As seems to be a theme in this list, Final Fantasy XV looks to be the first single-player entry in the series to feature a fully open world. Typically for Square Enix, the game also looks phenomenal, with the environments bordering on photorealism. We've been stung before by incredible pre-release material for more recent Final Fantasy games.
