Alongside his big screen adventures, Indiana Jones has likewise had several bombastic video game outings too, with the likes of The Fate Of Atlantis, The Infernal Machine, and Lego Indiana Jones being some of the best.

Another of Indy’s finest video game adventures was Indiana Jones And The Emperor’s Tomb, which originally released back in 2003.

A standalone story, the game followed the titular archaeologist embark on a globetrotting quest in search of The Heart Of The Dragon, a pearl said to grant its owner magical powers. From exploring jungle ruins, solving a variety of puzzles, and fighting off enemies in hand-to-hand combat, this game was exactly what an Indiana Jones game should be.

One of the best parts of this game (aside from being able to pick up Indy’s hat after it gets knocked off) was being able to use his iconic whip.

Players could use Indy’s whip in combat to disarm enemies before pulling them in to deliver a knockout punch. Likewise, the whip was a key part in traversal in which it could be used to swing across large gaps.

It was just as exhilarating to play as it sounds, and made players feel like the legendary action hero.
