10 Insultingly Bad Side-Mission Rewards In Video Games
6. A SMIDGE Of XP - Where The Druffalo Roam (Dragon Age Inquisition)
A side mission that - to be fair - anyone should have guessed from the start wouldn't give you much for your trouble. The only problem is that this side quest gave QUITE a bit of trouble, so the lack of a reward only stung more.
Case in point, Dragon Age Inquisition and one of its first side missions: Where The Druffalo Roam. This side quest wouldn't be all bad, and thus the small smidgen - even by early game standards - of XP and influence you get out of it not as irritating, if all you had to do was locate the missing livestock that the missions sends you after.
But nope, instead you have to then guide the big lug back to the farm. You're quite a ways away from your destination by the time you find Druffy the Druffalo, and if you stray too far (which is quite easy due to how damn slow this thing is) the dumb animal just stops in its tracks.
And for this long tedious task, you get 40 XP and 40 influence. Even by the standards of this early in the game, this is chicken feed.
