10 INVINCIBLE Video Game NPCs You Wanted To Destroy

They. Just. Won't. Stop.

When setting out on a brand new - and likely challenging - video game adventure, it pays to have a helping hand.

From anthropomorphic animal chums to your own flesh and blood, heroes of the digital realms have nearly always benefited from partners who pitch in, or helpful side characters to deal with quests. After all, collecting 10 sacred scrotums for an odd fellow in Skyrim is easier when you’re not the one having to lug the bag(s) around.

However, they can also be absolute dickheads when they want to be, and time and time again players will come up against rude and obnoxious a-holes who smugly dole out criticism and unnecessary advice while you're breaking your back to appease them. And even worse, is when you can't even dole out a bit of, let's call it "physical attitude adjustment", to slap that sass right off their faces.

We've all experienced it so come gather round and we'll get through it together, as I'm Jules, this is WhatCulture.com and these are 10 Invincible Video Game NPC's You Wanted To Destroy.

10. Duck Hunt Dog - Duck Hunt

Man's best friend? More like absolute !*$%!

This duckhead of a dog is a prime example of unnecessary judgement from an NPC that while 90 percent of the time, is really helpful in flushing out the feathered fowl for you to fell with fiery fury, managed to dominate your brain with it's chiding laughter should you fail to hit anything.

And I'm pretty sure we've all attempted to Old Yella this fella should we experience the humiliation of coming up empty handed only to be denied by this NES classic shooter.

And for those of you telling me you could shoot the dog in the Bonus rounds of Duck Hunt, you're leaving out that this was in the Vs. edition of the game, which meant that players of the original couldn't dole out dum dums to this dog, no matter how hard we tried.
