In case you haven't heard of Respawn Entertainment, it's the company founded by Jason West and Vince Zampella, who were formerly responsible for the development of the Call of Duty franchise at Infinity Ward, and left amid considerable controversy when they were suddenly fired. They left to make their own company, and of the 46 employees who resigned from Infinity Ward in the wake of their departure, 38 signed on with Respawn Entertainment, meaning that the company has a heft of ammunition to tout itself as developing a game that would be able to compete with the Call of Duty franchise. That game appears to be Titan, a sci-fi shooter that is to be an Xbox exclusive and always connected to the Internet, somewhat in the vein of Gears of War and Halo. Little else is known about it to date, though with talent like this behind it, I have hope it might be the first new IP to make the 720 truly worth buying.
