9. Star Fox
The Star Fox series hasnt received much love of late with the most recent release being a 3DS port of Star Fox 64, so a mobile iteration could be just whats needed to build some hype before the Wii U instalment comes out later this year. An on-rail space shooter similar to the original SNES Star Fox would exhibit just the right level of simplicity while still posing a challenge for less experienced players. Most of the ships movement could be handled automatically, with players using the touch screen to shoot oncoming enemies. The Star Fox games offer players plenty of variety to ensure things don't get repetitive, as aside from the air-based missions there's also the Landmaster tank which first appeared in the N64 game along with the on-foot missions, so combinations of the two would give developers the opportunity to create a more fully-fledged experience. A number of on-rail shooters have already proven successful on mobiles including Sega's House of the Dead, so when you add in the all-star cast of furry space pilots, surely that's a winner.
