10 Lesser Known Video Games That Should Be Remade

Much like Robopon, Digimon, Spectrobes, and any other game that has paled in comparison to the endless monopoly Pokémon seems to have on the "raise 'em and battle 'em" genre, Dragon Quest Monsters deserved way more hype than it got.

Given it is part of the Dragon Quest franchise - an absolutely colossally successful game series - you'd expect the monster-raising Dragon Quest Monsters series to do far better than it generally has, as outside of Japan, audiences don't seem to have really gotten interested.

It even received surprisingly glowing scores from most companies that reviewed it, and yet it still seems to have sunk into general ambiguity, with the third game in the Joker trilogy not even being released in English.

And so it's time to give the English audience a second chance to appreciate this game for being more than a Pokémon knock-off, by remastering the series. The original game - which was just titled Dragon Warrior Monsters - has already seen a remaster, paving the way for the rest to also be remade.

With the Switch market lacking Pokémon-like RPGs, there's real potential for a glorious, glossy remake to get some real traction with audiences it hasn't prior - as well as to let those glorious weird critters get the graphical upgrade they sorely deserve.
