10 Lessons Pokémon Needs To Learn From Palworld

9. Functional Multiplayer

Multiplayer in every Pokémon game (where it's present) is sporadically thrilling on one hand and frustratingly obtuse on the other.

The excuse that Game Freak doesn't have the expertise or know-how to implement such systems doesn't fly anymore. Perhaps it's a result of Nintendo's stubborn refusal to have a more open online platform compared to its competitors, but archaic friend codes and antiquated net code only serve as a constant headache. You'd be forgiven for thinking these are purposefully user-unfriendly to discourage sharing your Pokéadventure with others.

Palworld does what any other developer with sense does. It gives players the agency to decide whether they want to allow randos or friends to join their game on the fly without having to deal with egregious loading times, error messages, and a constant requirement to input codes just for the privilege of seeing another human's avatar.
