10 Lost Cities The Uncharted Film Could Explore
4. Bhogavati
Here we have another Tomb Raider alum (appearing in 2008's Tomb Raider: Underworld), though it didn't feature nearly as heavily.
From a potential set design standpoint, Bhogavati is pretty cool. It has its roots in both Hindu and Buddhist mythology, so it would be architecturally striking. But what is it? According to legend, it is the underground capital of the Nagas (semi-divine, half-human half-snake beings), ruled over by Vasuki, the serpent king.
Other tantalizing potential MacGuffins are the astras, supernatural weapons wielded by the gods of Hinduism. The Nagas happened to be in possession of two astras, both exclusive to their kind.
The first, known as Nagastra (get it?), would take the form of a snake and never miss its target. It's not clear if that means it transforms into an actual snake, or if it manifests as an energy construct in the shape of a snake.
The second is called Nagapasha. When utilized, it would summon living, venomous snakes to bind its target.
So we've got two ancient, supernatural weapons, and a lost, subterranean city full of ornate Hindu and/or Buddhist architecture, in addition to towering statues of serpents. That sounds like something right up Nathan Drake's alley.
