10 Lost Video Game Characters You Didn't Realise Came Back
8. Niko Bellic In Grand Theft Auto 5
In arguably one of the most grounded and entries in the Grand Theft Auto superseries, the refreshingly pragmatic-yet-tragic Niko Bellic moved to Liberty City in GTA 4 to find his absolute b*****d cousin Roman, after he sent promises of riches and peace. After having been traumatised by war, our Serbian hero gladly jumps at the chance, but is soon dragged into gang wars and relentless calls to go bowling.
Niko also appears in GTA4’s DLC packs, Lost and The Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony, seemingly still unable to break out of the criminal lifestyle.
In GTA 5, however, there appears to be very little sign of Niko, and given the horrendous fate of Johnny Klebitz (the protagonist of Lost And The Damned) at the hands of the murderous Trevor, it’s easy to presume he met a similarly grisly fate.
But, digging a little deeper, we see wanted posters and photographs of him driving a truck in the Yellow Jack Inn, and even his full LifeInvader profile when using a computer (updated recently). Humorously, a homeless man totes a sign remarking “a Serbian stole all my money” - so it sounds like he’s alive, and notorious as ever.
