10 Major Video Game Sequels Coming In 2021

Recognized worldwide with its own E-Sports league, Overwatch's lore, characters and gameplay made it one of Blizzard's biggest successes.

Finally, after five years of support for the original, Overwatch 2 is expected to launch this year; but very little is known about this game.

One crucial thing we know is that the title will establish a "shared multiplayer environment" between itself and the current Overwatch, meaning players in any game can play together, maintaining all unlocked cosmetics and other features.

The game will also feature continuous player vs environment modes.

These are comparable to the special seasonal activities that would feature four-player multiplayer missions against computer-controlled enemies. In this mode, gamers can gain experience with the hero they're playing, and at some stages of experience, access new passive skills that improve the hero's skillset, enabling them to modify how the hero operates.

Overwatch is almost a modern equivalent to Mario or Sonic in terms of recognisability, and this sequel will hopefully keep that iconic status intact.
