10 Mega-Hyped 2014 Video Games That Will Definitely Disappoint

10. South Park: The Stick Of Truth

Look, I love South Park and pretty much everything about the show. It€™s completely crude, vulgar, shocking, but also wields some of the sharpest social commentary around that consistently breaks through our exteriors possibly giving us a new perspective on something in life. And in an ideal world, that€™s everything the game will bring to the table. My hopes and faith have just simply gradually waned though after delay after delay. I can understand a few months delay to iron out the kinks and add some polish but this game isn€™t receiving those delays. It has instead received two ridiculous delays of roughly one year each. I€™m fully aware that THQ went out of business but that didn€™t stop Volition and Deep Silver from getting Saints Row IV out on time, and it was also a great game. The gameplay footage is surprisingly scarce and lame too. For a game that releases in 3 months a trailer showing off a farting QTE €“ while amusing - isn€™t exactly gameplay that really wins me over. The one silver lining though is that through all of the dark times, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have not once left the side of the project. Furthermore, the graphical engine does strikingly resemble the show€™s inseparable animation down to almost every detail. Here€™s hoping that Obsidian and Ubisoft can still deliver.
