7. Spending Far Too Much Time Playing Demo One
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zpb7wEthqw The PlayStation came bundled with a demo disc full of games to play, trailers and tech demos that was updated throughout the system's life cycle. The demo featured playable versions of games such as Crash Bandicoot, Wipeout 2097 and The Die Hard Trilogy that served as terrific introductions to the brand new console. On top of the games, there was a nifty dinosaur tech demo that gave the player limited control over a highly detailed Tyrannosaurus Rex. There was also a handy music visualizer for all the PS1 owners that just so happened to be hippies. It sounds basic today, but it was very generous of Sony to include a demo disc with every console. It sure as hell came in handy for cash-strapped parents whose budgets couldn't stretch to include games as well.
