An oldie but a goodie, you may already know that the original Metal Gear's stealth gameplay was born out of a processor restriction on the archaic MSX, which literally couldn't handle the firefights creator Hideo Kojima wanted to render.

Hence the idea to sneak past guards instead, but even so, it looks like the Western localisation team might have been 'feeling asleep' on the job too, as this subtly hilarious mistake slipped through the cracks.
