10 MORE Best Pokémon You Never Bothered Catching
7. Skuntank
Poison and dark is an interesting type combination that opens up a world of possibilities. Skuntank uses this effectively by warding off grass, ghost, fairy, and psychic types. It can also hold onto a Black Sludge item. For non-poison types, it poisons them, but poison types can use Black Sludge to heal themselves a little bit every turn.
A decent move set for Skuntank includes Nasty Plot: a move that raises its special attack two stages, as well as decent special attacking moves like Sludge Bomb, Dark Pulse, and Fire Blast.
Its stats are somewhat middling, but it does boast a half decent HP stat and a surprising amount of speed. But what makes Skuntank that little bit more spicy is its ability Aftermath. Any Pokémon that makes Skuntank faint will lose a quarter of its maximum health.
Team Galactic (the villains in the fourth generation of Pokémon games) used a lot of Skuntank in the campaign, so it's likely you were sick of seeing them.
Perhaps they were onto something.
