Fallout power armour
Bethesda

We've already considered a few iconic looks, so how about Bethesda's power armour for a tank-like boost? Added to the map in a special chest buried in a randomly generated, underground vault, the power armour could enter the game once a player manages to stumble upon it. Containing a shield-engorging suit of armour for the player's new look and a legendary mini-gun for good measure, the time to take that tank out for a spin could kick off right there.

Obviously there'd have to be some trade-off in exchange for the great weapon and massive defence boost. Mobility would be significantly restricted and movement much slower - get yourself trapped in the storm and you may be left with no option but to watch your chances of victory die as slow a death as your poor avatar.

Unlike the Thanos skin, it would be interesting for this not to transfer to your conqueror if you're defeated. Instead, resources could be offered as you receive a major metal deposit for destroying the hefty suit. This would stop the game becoming entirely about who has the suit, and could make for some pretty hilarious/infuriating moments if you see a teammate do something stupid and waste the armour moments after finding it...
