10 (More) Old School Games That Deserve A Remake

3. Saturday Night Slam Masters

saturday night slam This game scored many awesome points for having the GREATEST NAME OF ALL TIME!!! Is there an echo in here? Oh well, the afore mentioned wrestling game was actually a spin off in the Final Fight Universe that featured Haggar as one of the selectable wrestlers. The game was over the top multi player ecstasy, complete with multiple game modes and matches and some truly wild yet familiar characters. The WWE has held sway over the realm of pro wrestling for quite some time, the lack of legitimate competition has created a familiar €˜take it or leave it€™ sensation even though I won€™t make the argument that the organization is resting on its laurels, but no competition is a negative no matter what. That has also effected the video game community as brand recognition has killed any all attempts to generate an original wrestling IP. Update: With more and more companies cooperating to make mash up games already, why not take the Slam Masters template and have some mash up fun with it? Haggar could be joined in the ring by King from Tekken and Abel from Super Street Fighter mega turbo PED ultra edition (seriously? There should just be like 11 games that are just called Street Fighter, c€™mon). Add a little character creation, a humorous storyline and every night can be Saturday Night.

Dante R Maddox got started in writing about pop culture in 2007. He developed his conversational style majoring in English and minoring in speech communication, his desire to write as if he were speaking to the reader face to face was the bane of many professors. An odd blend of geek cred and regular fella chic', you're just as likely to end up talking about baseball or politics as you are about comic books and movies (just don't mention Tucker Carlson, you are addressing the man who will go to jail for assault in the future after all). He wrote a book called The Lineage of Durge that's available on Amazon for a small amount of money, he's writing a second while acting as Editor-in-Stuff over at Saga Online Press, there is a graphic novel expansion of his book series also in the works as well as continued development of his cheesecannon, one day Canada...one day (Seriously, a piece of ham, you slice it up and now it's bacon?!?!? I say thee nay!!!)
