10 More Pointless Video Game Details That Will Blow Your Mind

2. Dogs Grieve For Their Dead Owners In Watch Dogs 2

While Ubisoft often gets accused of pushing out broken games, and overall creating lifeless open worlds, the publisher has done a great deal over the past few years to remedy all of these complaints. These days, their sandboxes are more detailed than ever, as exemplified in a previous article by the way the world is reflected in the eyes of camels in Assassin's Creed: Origins, or the ridiculously realistic snow in The Division.

Watch Dogs 2 is perhaps their crowning achievement though, setting a new bar for small details that make a sandbox feel lived in. One of these will only ever be experienced firsthand by a handful of people though, not only because of its rarity, but because you have to be an absolute monster in the first place to trigger it.

Sticking to real life, just about every dog in the title has an owner, and because the developers embraced player freedom, you can shoot these people, leaving the dogs helpless and alone. If you do, the animals will bark and run off, but they'll also return a little while later, mourning their former owners and even lying down beside them.
