Dragon Age: Inquisition is a game that revels in hiding the true villain's identity from players.

For the most part, Corypheus is painted as the biggest baddie in the game with the biggest threat to the world. But, in reality, this ancient Darkspawn is merely a puppet for Inquisition's true villain hidden just below the nose of players.

Fen-Harel, the Elven God Dread Wolf, is the game's true villain and is secretly hidden by taking the form of Solas. Solas joins the Inquisition and can be one of the most dependable mages in the game and can even have a romantic relationship with players if those ears are the sorts of things that get them going.

But make no mistake, Solas is hellbent on destroying the Veil and restoring his own Elven kind to glory, causing irreparable chaos in the process.

Depending on the relationship players have with Solas, his reaction to revealing his true identity will vary, either showing next to no guilt or expressing genuine remorse for his actions.

Either way, Inquisition's story concludes with him revelling in his role as a trickster, and walking off with more power in his hands.
