10 MORE Video Games Clearly Released Unfinished
7. EFootball 2022
eFootball 2022, the latest entry in the eFootball franchise (formerly known as Pro Evolution Soccer), recently garnered a lot of negative attention following its release last month.
Players took umbrage with its awful graphics (likening them to a PS2-era title), horrible physics engine, incredibly repetitive commentary, and the somewhat embarrassing fact that only nine teams are currently available at launch.
The funny thing is, eFootball 2022 is actually a free-to-play game - but this did little to stop the mountain of poor reviews from pouring in. It currently has the prestigious honour of being the worst-reviewed game of all time on Steam, with a staggering 92% of its reviews being negative.
For many though, the main sticking point is the player models themselves. A lot of the players, like world-famous football players Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, look like they were modelled by someone who once saw a grainy, bigfoot-quality picture of them and then decided to do the rest from memory. It's also worth mentioning that all of the people in the crowd look like Max Payne's original face on PS2.
