10 MORE Video Games Clearly Released Unfinished
2. Warcraft 3: Reforged
Warcraft 3: Reforged is an odd example of a game that isn't actually bad, but rather an example of an inferior, buggier version of the original game it was supposedly meant to remaster.
Newly introduced bugs aside, the game barely looks any better than the original Warcraft 3 that was released all the way back in 2002. The remastered cutscenes that were showcased back at Blizzcon in 2018 weren't present in the final release of the game either, with Blizzard's justification being that players would prefer the original cutscenes anyway. So... why exactly did they show the remastered cutscenes in the first place?
The re-release, which is well over a year old now, also has incredibly unstable servers. So unstable in fact, that the first official tournament had to restart multiple matches because of disconnects. Reigning champ ThorZain's quarter-finals match disconnected twice, which ended up causing him to lose the entire tournament.
Yet, all of this could be forgiven... if the game didn't actually replace the original Warcraft 3, regardless of whether or not you actually bought it. Blizzard actually erased the old, superior version of the game from storefronts in a bid to force people to buy their new, crappy "remaster".
