Playstation owners got a raw deal when it came to the Splinter Cell ports on the PS2. Not only did they look worse, but they ran worse. The original Splinter Cell was even missing entire missions. So when the HD Trilogy was put out on PS3 it was finally time to rejoice, well for all of five minutes anyway.

Both the original and Pandora Tomorrow worked very similarly from mechanics all the way to menus as they were pretty much the same game. We didn’t get any major overhauls until Chaos Theory. But one thing that will haunt players creeping around in the dark will be the save system.

Quicksave is a godsend in any video game, in Pandora Tomorrow especially, it is nothing more than a curse. This being down to the fact the save is on a delay, which meant it actually saved a few seconds after any indication on the screen.

Which meant if players were to be caught or die moments later, they would forever be stuck in this loop.
