10 Most Brilliantly OTT Sports Video Games Of All Time

6. Mario Tennis

Surprisingly,Mario has his fair share of sports games under his belt. Whether it be soccer, baseball, golf or more, he's had his go at it. It's predecessor, Mario's Tennis for the Virtual Boy back in 1995 was not only the start of the Mario Tennis games, but the jumping pad Nintendo launched off of to venture into other sports. Mario Tennis on the N64 was a game with surprisingly mass appeal, even if you had no interest in tennis or didn't even know the rules. It was accessible and allowed for party play as you could square up one-on-one against friends or the computer and even team up with a friend in doubles. Admittedly, this game is no where near as over-the-top as some others on this list, but it does have its own unique edge and is remembered fondly by Mario fans. It also shouldn't be forgotten that Mario Tennis was also the game that saw the debut of Waluigi.
