2. James Earl Cash (Manhunt)
If you haven't heard of Manhunt, Rockstar's most controversial game that even put the GTA games to shame, then you have been living under a rock your whole life. The psychological horror themed stealth game puts players in the shoes of James Earl Cash, a brutal convict who is busted out of prison and must compete in a gruesome real-life game of cat and mouse against his will. James must sneak behind every enemy and kill them in the most gruesome ways in order to survive and entertain the demented game master who watches from above through several surveillance cameras spread across the city. Manhunt's controversy starts with the "stealth kill reward system" in the game; the stealthier James is, the more visceral the kills will be when applied. The game was banned in several countries for the level of gore perpetrated by the character James. But the tipping point was when the game was linked to an actual murder and the name James Earl Cash became even more popular.
