1. The Walking Dead
The episodic arcade game based on the best selling comic, is a character driven series much like the show. You grow to like these characters, in particular Lee (whom you control) and little Clementine. It's the relationship you build between you that makes the ending so very very sad. It all starts at the end of part four, when Lee is bitten by a walker. Similar to Reach, beyond this point you know what is coming, but with Clementine missing you push on to save her before you turn. Save her you do, but eventually in a walker infested town Lee and her end up trapped in a small shop. Lee is on his last legs, and handcuffs himself to a radiator should he die. The last scene is a depressing affair, as you tell Clementine that she has to leave you to go and find the others, and on top of that you can choose whether to have her shoot you or leave you to turn before she goes. No matter the outcome, to see such a character left to die that way is hard to swallow on top of the thought of Clementine left to fend for herself. The Walking Dead isn't a place for happily ever afters either. In a post credits scene Clementine is walking in a field by herself, when he notices two figure in the distance... when they notice her too. Are they friend or foe? We're left to wonder and sob uncontrollably until season 2 arrives later this year. Which was your favourite of the bad ends? Or is there one you think should be in there?
