10 Most Disappointing Games Of The Decade (So Far)

1. Starfield

And finally, we have surely the single most disappointing game of the 2020s so far - Bethesda's long-awaited sci-fi RPG Starfield.

Given the developer's chops in the RPG space, there was every reason to expect another richly immersive and fiendishly addictive banger - one that kept players busy until the release of The Elder Scrolls VI.

Yet despite receiving generally positive reviews, Starfield fared decidedly less well with general players, many noting the strange, sparse emptiness of its apparently huge universe, the lack of charm and nuance in its writing, and the tediousness of its gameplay.

Starfield truly feels like it was nudged out the door a few years before it was ready, but beyond that, it smacks of a game produced by a tired dev team with a lack of fresh and imaginative ideas.

There's a patent lack of wonder throughout what should've been an awe-inspiring sci-fi adventure, and perhaps the worst thing anyone could really say about Starfield is that it's almost inexplicably forgettable.
