1. Death By Faceplant (Spider-Man 3)

I've never known a spider to die in such pathetic but hilarious circumstances as this scene in Spider-Man 3 though. The first section of the game features Spider-Man entering a burning building to stop a bomb detonating and to save a woman from the inferno. The final part uses a series of quick-time events to manoeuvre Spidey around the building, but failing to make the final action sees Spider-Man faceplant the floor pathetically before the room explodes around him. Even better is the reaction of the hostage who remarks "I'm gonna die!" just as the bomb detonates. Imagine a superhero like Spider-Man arriving just in the nick of time to save you and then flopping straight to the ground like a drunken man believing he can fly. How disappointing would that be?
