Mario and Bowser have never managed to settle their eternal grudge and as a result we've seen them at each other's throats across countless titles over several generations of consoles and handheld platforms. Their entire relationship together is iconic in its own right but perhaps one of the most iconicimagesis their first ever confrontation in the original Super Mario Bros. Dated doesn't even begin to describe the above image but still, I've got fond memories of the days when it resembled the bleeding edge of gaming. I bet countless readers out there do too. When it comes to gaming, you simply don't get much more iconic than Mario and his greatest (if not exactly oldest) foe.
