10 Most Insulting Kinds Of Video Game DLC

2. Tacked On Endings

Asuras Wrath
Capcom

Asura’s Wrath and Dragon Age: Inquisition are iconic for a couple of things. The first of which is that they’re both really great games, and the second is that they both have paid DLC packs that wrap up the main story.

While Dragon Age: Inquisition’s Trespasser DLC and Asura’s Wrath’s final episodes are arguably epilogues, they still represent the endings of their respective stories that a lot of fans argue should have been included in game at launch without costing players extra. It sort of feels like the true ending is being held hostage behind a paywall and the player is left with a lose/lose situation of missing out entirely or having to spend more money. The only exception to this one is instances like Mass Effect 3’s Extended Cut which was released as a free download.

Then again EA had pretty much already maxed out on fanbase ire by that point so there was no real other option.
