10 Most Likely DLC Characters For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
4. Ryu Hayabusa
Nintendo loves to include iconic (or even obscure) NES characters in Super Smash Bros. Characters like Ice Climbers, Pit, Simon Belmont, have already made the roster, but one name that has been notably omitted is that of Ryu Hayabusa from the impossibly-difficult "Ninja Gaiden" franchise.
Fans have speculated on Hayabusa's inclusion in Smash since the first Fighter's Pass, and there's plenty of evidence to suggest that he's in line for inclusion. To begin, there have been multiple self-purported leakers (including prominent leaker Brew Elfen back in October of last year) who have purported that Hayabusa will be added to the game. Elfen's word, in particular, carries quite a lot of clout, as he was the leaker who correctly predicted the completely-out-of-left-field inclusion of Piranha Plant.
That being said, he did specify that Hayabusa would join the ranks in 2019, which he ultimately did not. However, this doesn't mean that he is out of the question.
Considering most of the Fighter's Pass fighters have been third-party, it would only make sense that Tecmo join the party and approve Hayabusa for the game. As far as a moveset is concerned...I mean, he's a ninja. He has built-in movesets from Ninja Gaiden, from the Dead or Alive fighting games, and from...just being a ninja.
Whether he'd have more KO potential than Greninja is yet to be seen, but he'll certainly have more than Sheik.
