10 Most Memorable Vampires In Video Game History

6. Janos Audron (The Legacy of Kain)

janos The Legacy of Kain is only five videogames long but tells an incredibly well written story about not only the transformation of a man named Kain, once a nobleman, later a powerful arrogant and elitist vampire, but also about a once graceful race of winged beings that ultimately fell cursed by their enemies with bloodlust as part of a much bigger scheme. Be advised: spoilers ahead. Janos Audron was the very last of those ancient vampires of blue skin and black feathered wings, sustained only by obligation, patiently awaiting the destined Raziel to take the Blood Reaver sword from his guardianship. Here he represents a much kinder race of vampires, before they became ravenous creatures in the future of the storyline, as the series is quite keen on time travel and the consequences of paradoxes as well. He is the sole proof that you can make vampires angelic and benevolent without making a complete mockery of them. He died with a clean conscience, but throughout the twists and turns of this drama, Janos is resurrected for the right reasons... and ultimately corrupted beyond salvation.
