10 Most Overpowered RPG Weapons EVER

7. Crissaegrim - Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night

So this is the part where I’m playing it a little fast and loose with the definition of an RPG but we’ll go ahead and sidestep the ‘what is an RPG’ debate, so we can discuss this absolutely ridiculous weapon from the 1997 Playstation classic.

The Crissaegrim, as it’s known in the English version of Symphony of the Night, is basically a souped up Vorpal Blade. Now, where the Vorpal Blade can be swung frequently as you walk, the Crissaegrim slashes four times per attack. I’m no mathematician but that’s an awful lot, especially since not only is there next to no recovery on this thing in addition to its substantial range. You basically become a walking ball of death to anything and everything in your path.

I should mention this thing isn’t the strongest sword in the game but its DPS makes it indisputably the best weapon you can get.

That’s not to say getting a Crissagrim is easy, unless you get very lucky with a random drop, but another perk is that it’s only a one-handed weapon. That means if you manage to get your hands on two you become an invincible killing machine that can even take out the final form of the final boss, Dracula himself, in less than 30 seconds depending on your level.

It’s commonly accepted that picking up one of these bad guys makes the game an unfun walkover. Or a way more fun murder-spree. Depends on your perspective.
