5. The Master Sword - The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

A must-include entry into not only this list but any list of the most iconic or powerful weapons of all time has to be The Legend of Zelda’s Master Sword.

The legendary weapon is back and better than ever in Breath of the Wild where it’s absolutely the best weapon in the game. And a pain in the ass to obtain as you’ll have to become strong enough to pull it from the ground. Yes, it’s all very Excalibur. Being strong enough involves having 13 full heart containers as your health will drain as you're pulling with all your might and that’s how many you’ll need to not die.

It’s an incredible weapon in BotW, though, capable of firing Sword Beams and doubling its damage output in the presence of evil. Not to mention it helps you travel through time in Ocarina of Time, turns the Evil King to stone in Wind Waker, and seals the power of evil away forever in Skyward Sword. Perhaps most impressively, in Breath of the Wild, the thing doesn’t break on you.

I know that doesn’t sound as exciting but it is really handy. There’s a good reason pretty much every Zelda entry requires Link to get his hands on it.
