10 Most Polarizing Characters In Video Games
2. Sera - Dragon Age: Inquisition
Much like Mass Effect, Dragon Age has an impressive roster of companions that aid your character along the way. Most of them have pretty extensive backstories and very dynamic personalities, but then, there are characters like Sera.
Sera is an elven archer who loves to prank people, especially if they're stuck-up and rich. Due to her quick wit and love of inappropriate language, she is easily one of the most entertaining companions in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Her carefree attitude has earned her a big following, but she is also not without some very obvious flaws that have earned her an equal amount of haters.
One major issue with Sera's character is that she never seems to develop in any meaningful way. Whereas others tend to change over time, Sera is always stuck in her ways of pranking, and her irrational prejudice towards elves and magic. If you disagree with her in any way, she will immediately disregard you or start insulting you. And if you try to defend your traditions as an elf who romanced her, Sera will even break up with you over your differences.
It seems humour and character development don't mix well together.
