10 Most Powerful Equipments In Magic: The Gathering

7. Umezawa’s Jitte

Umezawa’s Jitte is a Legendary equipment, meaning that no matter what format you’re playing you can only ever have one of these on your board at a time. That’s fine however, as one of these bad boys is more than enough to suit all of your needs. For only 2 mana to both summon this card and to equip it, it has a scary amount of potential.

For each time the equipped creature deals combat damage, this card receives 2 charge counters. One charge counter can be expended to do a variety of things, each of which is good but not too overpowered. The strength of this card comes when you start stacking up counters for some devastating turns.

The first ability lets you buff the equipped creature by +2/+2, meaning that not only can you get a 1/1 creature up to 5/5 after just one turn of attacks, you can buff it by +54/+4 every turn until the creature is destroyed or this card is. Or, alternatively, you could save up the charges and equip it on a new, more powerful creature once it’s summoned to get a real powerhouse from the get go. The other abilities let you give a creature- 1/-1, allowing you to save up as many as you need to deal with your opponent’s most obnoxious creature, or you can gain 2 life per counter when times are getting rough.
