Lightning Greaves is often compared to Swiftfoot Boots as both equipments give a creature haste and stop your opponent from targeting them. The difference is that the Boots cost 1 mana to equip while this card cost 0, however on the flipside, Greaves gives the creature shroud rather than hexproof meaning that you can’t target it either.

Shroud might be a drawback for any except the most unusual situations, being able to equip them to another creature and then switch back for 0 mana more than makes up for it as, if for any reason you needed to target the creature, you can simply switch the Greaves to something else and then put them back if you need to.

Lightning Greaves has long been a staple card, especially in EDH decks. Being able to give a creature haste from the get-go is a powerful ability which nobody should ever overlook.
