10 Most Promising Nintendo Switch Exclusives Of 2018
3. Super Meat Boy Forever
An actual sequel to one of the most unexpected runaway successes of the Xbox Live Arcade era, Super Meat Boy Forever is - for some unknown reason, perhaps Nintendo threw a LOT of cash Team Meat's way - an exclusive on Switch.
Outside of a slick new graphical overhaul that puts it more in line with something like Alien Hominid, this will see the inclusion of procedurally generated levels. Mostly in to provide endless playability, the reality of many platformers and games that forgo authorship for content is that they're fundamentally less memorable or enjoyable as something that's been agonised over for months or years at a time.
Interestingly, only one of the original two people who developed Super Meat Boy is returning (Tommy Refenes), though when that game was agonised over until it was pixel perfect, it lends credence to the notion that Forever will be just as meticulously polished.
