3. Every GTA Character Except Trevor
Yes, you may think Trevor is the epitome of complete nihilism, but on the contrary - he's the only GTA character that makes sense. In the cutscenes of GTA V the other two protagonists are a belligerent, middle-aged man in the midst of a mid-life crisis, and an ambitious small-time gangster, desperate to get out of the hood. Looking at the lead characters from older games you have a young man trying to avenge his mothers death, an immigrant fighting for a better life, and a gangster trying to get back on top of the pyramid he found himself at the bottom of. Unlike all of those, Trevor is a violent sociopath bent on destruction for nothing other than the glorious joy of the slaughter within. So, when the player gets control of him and starts doing the things gamers always do in the open world of Grand Theft Auto, those actions are entirely in-keeping with the character. But, when gamers get their hands on anyone else, its as if those characters are having a schizophrenic, psychotic break with no knowledge of the person they became in the hours controlled by outside agency. For Trevor, its another day at the office.
