2. Tyranny

In Obsidian's RPG, you play as a Fatebinder, who serves as a subordinate to Kyros, a godlike demagogue. After Kyros conquers the world, the Fatebinder is tasked with bringing about order across the land.

Naturally, the player can indulge in their primal urges the old fashioned way, obliterating everyone in sight. Although most games with a morality system offer an altruistic choice, selecting the less violent option in Tyranny often leads to further bloodshed in the long run.

Depending on what tasks are performed or what is said in conversation trees, the player can turn allies against each other, sentence Kyros' followers to death, or trigger a war. If you're smart, some grievous actions can be performed without wielding your weapon or directly taking a single life.

You are presented with many choices, but being the good guy isn't one of them. Whether you choose to be a tyrant on the battlefield or a manipulator behind the scenes, you're the villain, plain and simple. Even though the story culminates with the Fatebinder putting an end to Kyros' reign, an unspeakable amount of bloodshed must be spilt to achieve this goal.
