10 Most Terrifying Enemies In The Fallout Franchise

1. Humanity

Humans are resilient things. We can live in blazing heat or freezing cold. We've explored the depths of the seas and the far reaches of space and have created magnificent works of art, science, technology, and culture.

And Fallout has proven despite all that, or perhaps because of it, during the collapse of the world, many of us became horrible. Think of just some of the evil things humans have done in the Fallout universe:

-formed into gangs who steal, pillage, rape, torture, kill, and indulge in cannibalism;

-created Super Mutants, Deathclaws, Cazadores, Night Stalkers, Synths, the Appalachian Cryptids, Gatorclaws, Giant Fireants, Mirelurks, Spore Carriers, Lobotomites, Robo-scorpions, Ghost People, Centaurs, Floaters, and Scorchbeasts;

-engineered the entire concept of experimental Vaults, created multiple bio-weapons, destroyed the Divide, deliberately exposed humans to The Cloud, created control collars and The Mesmetron, engineered dozens of combat robots, blew up Megaton, designed dozens of drugs that you can take like candy, built orbital weapons, and diverted countless taxpayer dollars to programs for weapons and warfare;

-f***ed the world up so badly that the only resolution was for the US and China to finally launch nukes at each other and end it all.

Humans are the true monsters in Fallout lore.

As legendary cartoonist Walt Kelly wrote, 'We have met the enemy and he is us.'
