10 Most Terrifying Video Game Enemies (And What They Represent)

8. Kunino-Sagiri - Persona 4 Golden

Persona 4
Atlus

The result of shadows merging with suspected murderer and confirmed kidnapper Taro Namatame, who is then possessed by the Japanese God of Fog, Kunino-Sagiri (the guy is not having a good day), this late-game boss is one of the weirdest parts of Persona 4 Golden.

Unlike most villains, Namatame acted fully in the belief that what he was doing was right, abducting potential victims targeted by the actual killer and taking them to another world with the twisted logic that this would keep them safe.

Funnily enough, this obliviousness to how evil his actions were allowed him to be possessed by the God, who is adorned in peace symbols and in myth is known as the protector and saviour of mankind.

The twisted irony is that this is exactly what Manatame thought he was doing; the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and the design and lore behind Kunino-Sagiri perfectly reflects how bad people can perform terrible actions in the name of peace, love, and all things good.
