10 Most Under-Appreciated Video Games Of 2018
6. Vampyr
Vampyr is set in 19th century England, and puts you in the shoes of a doctor who contracts vampirism. You then play the game struggling with the need to feast vs. the morality of killing. If that didn't make it obvious enough, Vampyr is a far cry from your standard vampire story; Twilight this is not.
As you may imagine, Vampyr is more about the storytelling and world-building than it is the gameplay. And the fact that it comes from the French minds behind Life Is Strange and Remember Me should be further evidence of that. Its dark and twisting story is reflected in the gloomy and claustrophobic streets of London, which makes for a refreshing tale in a world overflowing with sequels and safe bets.
Vampyr has atmosphere in abundance and, what it lacks in polish and occasionally repetitive combat, it more than makes up for with its style, uniqueness and supremely well-written characters.
